Last year I got to use the Oculus Rift to play XING: The Land Beyond , and even though that game didn’t have the most realistic graphics, it felt stupidly real. Despite the facts that I was holding an Xbox 360 controller in my hands and that every one of my senses except sight told me I was not exploring a tropical island, there were multiple times I found myself reaching out for objects in front of me. It made me forget where I was, sitting down in a convention hall full of thousands of people.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the game. Just some internet randomness at its finest. When you’re online, you pretty much have to start from scratch and earn your way up the top of the ladder. There are a few ways to do this like playing various game modes with other players, stealing and selling cars off the street and Sims 4 Wizarding mods of course, robbing convenience and liquor stores. The latter is one of the quickest ways to earn cash, depending on how fast you can outrun the cops. Well, it looks like someone was experimenting with masks in this picture and it just turned out great. That thing can smile all it wants, it’s terrifying even without the
I want to emphasize that I’m not afraid of this getting into children’s hands. If it does, that’s a failing of parents, not any of the companies related to the game or any of the peripherals used in the video. I am worried about what this might do to a whole era of games that support full virtual reality. What I had once envisioned as a device that would take classrooms to the surface of Mars so their teachers can explain first hand what unimaginable wonders are in our galaxy may in the future be used to simulate weapons to an unprecedented degree of precision.
"It's not so much in the character models that the metamorphosis is incredible, but more in the environments, richer, more detailed, more dense, and more natural, which has the effect of making the ecosystem and universe of Los Santos more credible. It suffices to get lost in the hills of Vinewood or the side of Sandy Shores to see how the game has grown in stature... This is unheard of. Real
Although management originally wanted to reprogram and release a different version of the game without the message, Steve Wright, the Director of Software Development at the time, not only wanted to keep Robinnett’s name in the game, but also to incorporate these special Easter eggs in other games. Thus, Easter eggs were b
Is there a modern game series that’s more engrained in our cultural lexicon than Grand Theft Auto? While retro properties like Mario and Pac-Man have evolved into symbols of the industry at large, there’s hardly any other post ‘80s series that is not only universally recognized, but so frequently discussed. This is a gaming franchise that has been the focal point of the argument against video game violence, with multiple lawsuits and constant discussions surrounding it throughout the first half of the aughts. This is a series that is known enough to make its title into a verb, with "going Grand Theft Auto on ___" a phrase that’s seeped its way into many a gamer’s vernacular. And, of course, this is a series that’s given new meaning to "hot coffee." Yet through all of the criticism and controversy, it’s managed to not only be one of the best selling franchises of all time, but one of the most critically acclaimed. It’s the game that represents the generational gap, uniting Millennials from all walks of life who've found an aspect to latch onto, while almost everybody else has a hard time understanding why we’d want to commit virtual vehicular homicide. Yet for all the violence of the game (and there is plenty), that’s not what makes us return to Grand Theft Auto; it’s the fact that it’s a virtual world that lets us do what we want -- a mantra the fifth entry into the series takes to heart.
Assassin's Creed 2 is the height of Ubisoft's open world stealth franchise, streamlining many of the features from the first game and adding a much more interesting protagonist to drive the story forward. Assassin's Creed 2 offers one of the best open worlds in the series, as it gives players the chance to explore a gorgeously rendered Italy during the Renaissance. While completing assassinations and other missions is the main draw of the game, it's also a great pleasure to simply explore Italy and check out some of the impressive landmarks and architect
One game I had imagined more than any other had to be the open world of Grand Theft Auto. Touring the vastness of Liberty City, meeting colorful characters and going into storefronts all excited me. Not to mention the exhilarating idea of fighting my way through the endless sea of enemies brought on by committing a some petty crimes, like hitting a pedestrian with a car. Virtuix, the folks behind the Omni, have released a video of Grand Theft Auto V being played using the Oculus Rift and their motion tracking peripheral, and I didn’t have quite the reaction I thought I would have.![]()
